VINE Youth (Years 7-12)
At all of our VINE Youth programs and activities we endeavour to create a fun, safe space where young people of high school age feel accepted for who they are. If you would like to know more about any of the below activities, contact Meg Bray or check out our facebook and instagram pages to find out what's on next.
VINE Youth alternates between social nights (Gather or Go) and bible study small groups (Grow).
GATHER nights are a great opportunity to build relationships with the young people already attending Camberwell Salvos, and young people connected to the church through other ministries. We are always looking for ways to have fun and make some lasting memories. If you want to laugh, get to know some great people and feel welcomed and safe, then this is the place for you! Past themes have included: Life-Sized Board Games, Medieval Night, Scavenger Hunts, Craft Nights and Big Oval Games.
GROW nights are a relaxed evening, usually with a game or two followed by small group discussion and chats. Grow nights are an opportunity for young people to grow deeper in their understanding of and relationship with God while also getting to know their peers on a deeper level. We cover a wide range of topics and really dig into the issues faced and what experiences you are having. We desire to make you feel safe to share, encouraged to grow and learn, and equipped to deal with whatever is going on in your life.
GO nights happen from time to time (typically once a term) and, as the name suggests, see us leaving the church building and GOing out to enjoy each other's company and have some fun! Past outings have included: Mini-golfing, BOUNCE trampolining, bowling, and visiting other youth groups for combined activities.
Corps Cadets is a bible study that operate on a fortnightly basis, catering for any young people of high school age. In the school term we meet during the 10am worship service.
