Thrift Shop

The Salvation Army Camberwell acquired the Ashburton/Ashwood store from the Baptist Church (Baptcare) in 2009. Why not drop in, say hello, and see what we have to offer you!

What happens to our profit?

Essentially any profits are directed to assisting people in Ashburton and the larger Boroondara area.

What is the difference between our Thrift Shop and Salvos Stores?

We are independent and owned by The Salvation Army Camberwell, and our money stays locally.  Salvos Stores are a chain and their profits are used state and country wide.

How can I donate to the Thrift Shop?

Donating is easy, and most welcome! We accept the following:
  • Clothing
  • Books
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Small furniture
(For larger items of furniture, please contact Salvos Store Home Collection on 13 72 58.)
  • Toys
  • Bikes, etc.

Donations are welcome during business hours and may be left in the ‘drop-off’ area at the rear of each store.
